Family Friendly Activities in the OKC Stockyards

Are you looking for fun family-friendly things to do in Oklahoma City? Look no further than the historic Oklahoma Stockyards. Monday and Tuesday mornings don’t miss experiencing a live cattle auction along exchange avenue followed by a day of country western shopping at Langston's Western Wear who have been in business since 1913, or trail riding along the River Park Equestrian Trails with over 20-acres of riding trails to explore.

But no trip to the Oklahoma Stockyard is complete without visiting the historic Cattlemen’s Restaurant. Founded in 1910, Cattlemen’s has been rated one of the top places in Oklahoma to visit by sites like TravelOklahoma.com

As one of the oldest continually operating restaurants in the city, Cattlemen’s is an iconic steakhouse has fed generations of hungry ranchers, cattle haulers, celebrities and even a United States President or two! TravelOklahoma.com recommended not to skimp on your order – they swear by the lamb fries, “Blue Ribbon” prime steaks and the famous house salad dressing, paired with a slice of homemade fruit pie or cream pie.
