Oklahoma Historic Restaurant Experience

Cattlemen’s Steakhouse is considered one of the best restaurants in Oklahoma City and it has all the rights to be so! Cattlemen’s Cafe has been providing customers with mouth-watering food and warm service for over a century and is the only Hall of Fame Steakhouse in Oklahoma. It is located in the Stockyards and

Whether you’re just passing through OKC or you’ve lived here your whole life, Cattlemen’s is a must-visit. Located in the heart of the stockyards, Cattlemen’s is not just about the food (though it’s amazing)—it’s about stepping into a piece of Oklahoma’s history and enjoying an experience you won’t forget.

Signature Dishes You Must Try at Cattlemen's Steakhouse

Hall of Fame Aged Steaks

Now we just could not start the list with anything other than the Hall of Fame steaks you will get when you visit Cattlemen’s. Cattlemen’s are known for their legendary aged steaks, and it’s easy to see why. At Cattlemen’s Steaks start with top-quality, corn-fed beef, raised in the Midwest. Then the beef is aged using a method that enhances its tenderness and flavor, creating a rich, melt-in-your-mouth experience. Every steak is hand-cut in-house and cooked over a hot charcoal grill, giving it a smoky crust on the outside and a juicy, flavorful center.

But what truly sets Cattlemen’s Cafe apart is their team of expert butchers. On average, these skilled professionals have been with the restaurant for over 20 years. Their experience shows in every cut, ensuring each steak is prepared to perfection. Whether you prefer your steak rare, medium-rare, or well-done, Cattlemen’s butchers and chefs deliver exactly what you order—every time.

From their signature ribeyes to tender filets, each steak is cooked to your liking and served with classic sides that complete the meal. The attention to detail, combined with over a century of tradition, makes dining on a Cattlemen’s steak a one-of-a-kind experience you won’t forget.

Lamb Fries

If you are looking for a little adventure you have to try our lamb fries. Now if you have never eaten lamb fries before, and most that visit Cattlemen’s have not, you're in for a real treat. Our lamb fries at Cattlemen’s Cafe are hands down one of the most unique items on the menu, to say the least, and never fail to get a response from our guests. Whether a giggle or a look of disgust, after all, lamb fries are fried lamb balls (I know I know…..trust us here!).

You will find the lamb fries under our signature appetizers and they have been on the menu for decades for a reason. These golden-fried bites draw in both the curious first timers to our longtime fans alike and are served with a side of tangy cocktail sauce and a wedge of lemon. However, might I recommend requesting some of Cattlemen's famous made-in-house scratch ranch for dipping, trust me on this one you will thank me later.

Cattlemens House Beer

Staying true to our Southern roots, if you’re washing down a steak at Cattlemen’s, you’ve got to try our house beer, Double Deuce. This isn’t just any beer—it’s brewed right here in Oklahoma by a local family brewery, and it’s as much a part of the experience as the steak itself. Whether you’re a beer lover or just looking for the perfect drink to pair with your meal, Double Deuce hits the spot every time.

Smooth, refreshing, and full of flavor, it’s the kind of beer that feels like it was made just for a place like Cattlemen’s. So, next time you’re here, skip the usual drink order and go for something local. Trust me, nothing complements a perfectly cooked steak quite like a cold glass of Double Deuce.

And for those who may not be the beer-lovin’ type we offer a wide range of cocktails that pair perfectly with a juicy steak as well. Our servers normally have great recommendations if you are looking to try something a little outside the box and are always happy to help.

Cheers to keeping it simple and oh-so-delicious!
